A free talk by Paul McDonald, Author of Up on Hill – Growing up in Post-war Parkstone.  Including trains, motor bikes and rock ‘n roll!       Poole Central Library, Tues 14th Feb 2.30 – 3.30 pm.

Parkstone-on-Sea – Salterns, Sandbanks & Flying Boats – A talk by Jeremy Waters, Honorary President of the Poole Flying Boats Celebration on 500 years of Parkstone history. Poole Central Library, Wed 15th Feb 2.30 – 4.00 pm. Cost: £1 on the door.

Dorset History Online –  A free talk and hands-on session from the Dorset History Centre exploring Dorset records available online via Ancestry, the History Centre’s online catalogue and Poole History online website.  Poole Central Library Fri 17th Feb 10.00 – 11.30 am

Getting started in Family History – A free talk from the Dorset Family History Society.          Hamworthy Library, Blandford Road. Fri 17th Feb 2.00 – 3.00 pm.

17th Century Poole – Delving into the archives for local and family history – a free illustrated talk.    Poole Central Library, Sat 18th Feb 2.30 – 3.30 pm.
